Hi, I'm Leticia Berg. Thanks for being here!
I am a registered psychological associate currently providing in-person and virtual therapy sessions in the California office of Dr. Kristen McDonald, PhD. My clinical specialties are the treatment of OCD, trauma, and anxiety-based disorders.
Although I started full-time work as a psychotherapist in private practice in 2019, I have been practicing intermittently as a personal development counselor since 2009.
I earned my 1st Master’s Degree in Humanistic Psychology at the Michigan School of Psychology in Farmington Hills, Michigan and my 2nd Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California, where I am also a Doctoral candidate in Applied Psychological Science.
My Doctoral research focuses on Black women, COVID-era trauma disclosure, and race-based traumatic stressors.
I specialize in OCD spectrum and anxiety disorders, and I have a wide array of clinical experiences within the UCLA Health System, residential treatment, and community mental health centers. I completed my pre-doctoral clinical and research training at UCLA's Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior and Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. I first served as an Emergency Medical Research Associate, screening patients for enrollment in clinical trials and observational studies. At Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, I provided behavioral therapy for patients with moderate to severe OCD in the Adult Intensive Outpatient Program, and in the Department of Psychiatry, I consulted with patients on cognitive behavioral treatment approaches for insomnia in the Sleep Medicine Clinic. Additionally, I have worked as a crisis counselor at Stuart House, a treatment center for teen and adult survivors of sexual assault at Santa Monica Hospital.
